Christmas

I recently joined Pinterest. So far, I have found quite a few ideas that I just love. For instance, my office door all ready for the door decorating contest:

I won! I found the idea on pinterest, and then made all of the decorations.
Next, our refrigerator all decked out for Christmas!

The tie-died spikey haired kid helped out with building the snowman. We had lots of laughs. Oh and ignore the mess...please...
Anyway, we had a great Christmas, and I hope you did too. Every year I try to take pictures of the boys in front of the tree. Sometimes they cooperate, and others they don't. This was a "don't" year. Here is one of the pictures from this year:

Aren't they sweet? Not really, they are trying to squeeze each other to make the other one yell. But they love each other. Most of the time...

My New Favorite Quote

Caleb and I were watching The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader on HBO a couple of weeks ago, and Prince Caspian said something that has just stuck with me.

"I have spent too long wanting what was taken from me and not what was given. I was given a kingdom."

Wait...was he talking to me? Isn't that what I have been doing? Yes, I have had significant losses in my life. I have missed out on things. I have had high hopes that are seemingly dashed. But look at what I was given!!!!! And to top it off, I am an heir to the kingdom of God! Hallelujah!!!! Praise God!

Father's Day

Father's Day is coming up, and I thought I would share some pictures of my Daddy. He was the best Daddy anyone could ask for! He died in 1989, and I still miss him. I was a Daddy's Girl all the way!
Daddy was the propane man--he worked for Alford LP Gas in Hull, Tx. He loved getting to visit with so many people every day.
This is Daddy & his good friend Carrol. I don't know what they were eating, but it sure looked like they were enjoying it!
And here is a picture of me with my mom & dad. I know it was in 1989 (my senior year), but I am not sure why we were so dressed up! It must have been something important for my dad to put on slacks and a button up shirt!!! I don't think he even owned a suit jacket!
And I can't put up a Father's Day post without a picture of my Pawpaw (and that's my Mamaw with him)! This is the only picture I could find tonight--I know I have others, but I am not sure where exactly they are!
